I am Ayushi Singh, a 5th-year law student from Amity University Mumbai, Maharashtra. I have previously interned at Sofia Bhambri Associates (Delhi), where I got the opportunity to conduct legal research on the latest amendments in the field of intellectual property law. I also interned at Triyama Legal (Pune), under Adv. Lalit Jhunjhunwala, Director and Lead Associate at Triyama Legal. My experience included attending virtual hearings at Bombay High Court, summarizing judgments, drafting bail applications, and drafting review petitions. I have published an article independently on www.legalserviceindia.com titled -Victim Compensation: An overview-. In pursuit of my passion to spread social equality and support the underprivileged and weaker sections of society, I recently got an opportunity to compose an anthem for the legal aid center at Panvel District Court titled -Nyaay ki Mashaal-. The anthem is a motivational song for people who are deprived of their legal rights, it is to create an awareness in society in general and the legal community in particular that legal rights are for everyone irrespective of the caste, creed, gender, financial status, and/or social status. The anthem has been formally adopted by the Bar Association of Panvel. My strong belief in liberty led me to be a part of Students For Liberty, an international libertarian non-profit organization with origins in the United States. Its stated mission is "to educate, develop, and empower the next generation of leaders of liberty." Students from different nations have round table discussions, colloquiums to get different perspectives on societal issues such as poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, inflation, violation of human rights, etc. I have also been the national coordinator for LawCuriae, an organization where people from the legal fraternity speak about the practical aspect of the law, how the law is implied and we also reach out to the law students who do not have enough resources to study and understand the law.
IPC, CrPC, Constitutional Law, English, History, Gender and Law, Prison Administration, Human Rights.
