About Me

I worked as professional staff at Kodaikanal International School for 10 years, where I taught visual arts, drama, and maths. I studied visual communication in the United States at Ohio University. I enjoy working with students and I tailor my lessons to their specific learning needs. My goal in education is to get students to go from merely knowing the material to actually understanding and appreciating it. I also do what I can to make learning fun and interesting. My philosophical approach to learning is that there is ALWAYS a solution to a problem; the challenge is finding that solution. I try to take the frustration out of that search. I also work to make sure students aren’t afraid of making mistakes. Mistakes aren’t failure; rather, they are an essential part of the learning process. If a student is not making mistakes in their learning process, they aren’t being adequately challenged, and hence aren’t growing at their full potential.
