About Me

Hi, I’m Divya. I’m a student myself, and when I teach, I imagine I’m teaching my younger self — someone who didn’t always understand things the first time, but just needed a better way to learn. Most top teachers teach top students — the ones who already know a lot. But I want to be the kind of teacher who helps the students who feel left behind. The ones who think science is too hard or feel too scared to ask questions. I don’t just want to teach smart kids — I want to make kids feel smart. In every 60-minute class, we spend the first 10 minutes revising what we did last time. The next 30 minutes are for learning one topic in a simple, clear way. Then I quiz the student for 10 minutes. And in the last 10 minutes, I give them a worksheet or a small writing task — because writing helps them remember and express better. I’m not a strict teacher, but I take every class seriously. I’m friendly, patient, and I care about how each student feels. I want them to leave class feeling a little more confident every time — because that’s what real learning is. And more than anything, I want to be the kind of teacher kids are actually excited to learn from. As a child, even if the teacher was good, I never really looked forward to the next class. I want to change that. I want my students to be excited, curious, and waiting for the next session — because that’s how fun, engaging, and comfortable I plan to make it.
