About Me

Dr. N. Tamiloli is currently serving as Professor and Dean at PERI Institute of Technology, Chennai, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Machining, Optimization Techniques, and Soft Computing from Anna University, Chennai. His doctoral research focused on the multi-objective optimization of the end milling process using advanced soft computing techniques such as Grey Relational Analysis, Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, and Genetic Algorithms, with experiments carried out on AA6082-T6 materials.Dr. Tamiloli has made significant contributions to the fields of machining, optimization, and composite materials. He has successfully published over 140 research articles in reputed national and international journals and holds 13 patents based on his innovative work. His active research collaborations and publications have advanced the understanding and application of optimization in manufacturing processes.He is also deeply committed to academic mentoring. Under his supervision, five Ph.D. scholars are currently pursuing their research, and fifteen postgraduate students have been awarded their degrees. Dr. Tamiloli has served as a reviewer for refereed and recognized international journals and periodicals, contributing his expertise to the wider scientific community.Beyond research, he has organized numerous conferences, workshops, and seminars aimed at enhancing the knowledge base and research capabilities of students, faculty, and fellow researchers. As a life member of ISTE, he actively promotes professional development and collaboration within the engineering community.His current research focuses on composite materials, particularly in the context of sustainable manufacturing and environmentally friendly technologies, thereby contributing to the vision of a green and safe environment.
