About Me

Dr. Rajkumar Yadav Dr. Rajkumar Yadav have received an undergraduate degree in Botany and Zoology from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University and a Master's degree in Botany from Sardar Patel University (SPU), Anand Gujarat as well as a Ph.D from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, Gujarat, He has conducted field-research at island, sea hot deserts, and high-altitude Forest of Gujarat state, towards understanding human impacts on Forest, Desert forest and Sea. Now, he is working mainly on ecology, plant taxonomical work etc. During his M.Sc. dissertation work on “Screening of selected aromatic plants belonging Lamiaceae and Verbenaceae for their antimicrobial activity”, i was working in the laboratory of Department of Bioscience , S.P University. In this study, he has worked in HPTLC finger printing and TLC bioautography of certain active extracts demonstrated the presence of common phytochemicals compounds in plant extracts.Previously, he has worked in the dry deciduous tropical forests of Gujarat India, investigating ecological Significance of Forest and economic dependence on it. This was part of his dissertation work for PhD. He is currently working in Gujarat Ecological Education and Research Foundation (GEER) as Research Associate (RA) in the project titled “A Study on Impacts of Narmada Canal System on Environment and Ecology of the Areas Benefitted by the Canal System in Parts of North Guajrat, Saurashtra and Kachchh in Gujarat State” in which he have been working as co-investigator of project and mainly looking the vegetational diversity portion of the study. Towards this end, he has recently initiated a study on Long Term Ecological Monitoring (LTEO) in 5 selected permanent plots of Gujarat which is sponsored by Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India. In this project also, he is working as co-investigator of Gujarat state. During research tenure, he has published 22 research articles in various very reputed journals and about 7 research articles have been communicated for publication.
