About Me

I am Ganesh Swaminathan working in an International School, Chennai. I started private tutoring at 2004 with 3 students which rapidly increased up to 50 students in the year 2007. Not only the strength of my class increased but also my interest in teaching and now it has become a strong passion. I am graduated from National University of Singapore and worked there for 1.5 years before I recently moved to my hometown, Chennai.I also hold a graduate degree in Computer Science and a bachelor degree in Mathematics, both from India. I am college topper in my undergrad Math degree.I have taught undergrad Math for students in India and Singapore.I have tutored Mathematics for Indian students from basic middle school to college level. I have also taught IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) foundation course in a tuition center in Chennai.Besides teaching, I have 5 years of work experience at IBM India Pvt Ltd as a "Test Specialist" in the software industry.I give home works and conduct tests regularly and assess the students difficult areas in Mathematics and then help them in that part . I am a friendly tutor but at the same time I am strict in terms of discipline. I encourage my students to ask questions and try to make the lesson interesting and interactive. I also share difficult questions to those who seek challenging questions. I try to give real life applications as much as possible to make the students understand the usage of Math in real life. Based on the students interest, I can offer additional hours of teaching during exam hours.
