About Me

I am Dr. Insha Wani, a Civil Engineering academic and researcher specializing in Geotechnical Engineering. I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, with research interests in soil stabilization, sustainable geotechnical materials, slope stabilization, and the use of innovative materials such as biochar for soil improvement. I have teaching and academic experience with institutions including Govt. Polytechnic College Baramulla, SKUAST Kashmir, IoT Zakura and NIT Srinagar. My teaching approach focuses on developing strong conceptual understanding while connecting theoretical principles with practical engineering applications. I encourage students to think critically, solve engineering problems systematically, and understand the relevance of classroom concepts to real-world infrastructure.
