About Me

Teaching children from vernacular backgrounds has helped me rework a typical teaching method that enforces rote learning on children, rather than an understanding of the subject. Apart from handing out worksheets to improve their practical knowledge, I also help them to understand the topic at hand and then learn it, rather than cramming it all in and forgetting it after a while. I have tutored children from the age of 5 right up to the age of 14, and have worked extensively with them particularly in Grammar, vocabulary enhancement and pronunciation. In the case of Spoken English and Personality Development, I focus not only on the essential grammar and pronunciation but also correct sentence formation and pronunciation, since conversational English requires a perfect blend of them all. As a part of Personality Development, I focus on etiquette, grooming, good speech, posture and confidence. My ultimate ambition is not to cram information into the heads of students, but to teach them things that will stay with them for life, both academically and personally.
