About Me

My name is Pallabi Kandar, currently a Research Associate Miklens Bio Pvt Ltd. I worked as a Teaching Assistant and Junior Research Fellow on Biopesticide Development at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. Through my Research experiences, projects, internships, and relevant courses I have developed a domain-specific knowledge in Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science, Agrochemicals, Phytochemicals, Natural product development, Botanical pesticides formulation and Plant Protection Chemicals. Recently, I worked on the project entitled “Biopesticide formulation from plant-based extracts and its bioefficacy study on lepidopteron pest” under the supervision of Prof. Mamoni Banerjee. One of my hands-on industrial experiences came from working in SAMI Labs where I worked on extraction and identification of phytomolecules of Pachyrhizus Erosus seeds. In addition to this, I also worked as a Researcher in ICAR-NIRJAFT where I was responsible for quality evaluation and assessment of soil samples of different zones of West Bengal. I have worked significantly on Characterization of different fractions of organic carbon in some soil orders of India, as my Master’s Thesis under the supervision of Prof. Prasanta Kumar Patra.
