About Me

I have completed my Bachelors and Masters in English from Jadavpur University. I am currently pursuing my last semester of B.Ed from the same institution. I am an avid and voracious reader from a very young age. During my last semester of Post Graduation I have worked on my Dissertation, titled "The Burqa Army of Afghanistan - The other 48 percent". I have a flair for research as well, having participated in and subsequently chaired a certain number of Model United Nations conferences in college. I enjoy exploring new concepts and ideas, and I enjoy explaining things that intrigue me. I am a patient, meticulous and calm worker and I abide by deadlines to the best of my ability. I have been teaching kids since I was in the ninth standard at school. Having been exposed to explaining things to them from a very young age, I like to believe I am proficient in handling their questions and understanding their way of thinking, which constantly amazes and delights me. It has also made me aware of the changes in their syllabus over the years, and the way their curriculum is structured and restructured. Having studied in an English medium school under the ICSE board and having taught children from CBSE and WBBSE boards, I believe has given me a fair idea of what the syllabus of the three boards entails and how it caters to the children's needs. I am flexible in terms of adapting to any syllabus structure while also mindful of what needs to be taught.
