About Me

Ms. Sarah Priscilla. S, is currently acting as Head & Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food Service Management and Dietetics at S.D.N.B Vaishnav College for Women, Chromepet. She had begun her teaching career at Anna Adarsh College for Women and has been serving the S.D.N.B Vaishnav College in the Department of Nutrition, FSM & Dietetics since its inception. She narrows down in the field of Foods and Nutrition and have bagged many subject proficiency and endowment prizes in her undergraduate degree and have cleared UGC- National Eligibility Test for Lectureship. With a teaching experience of almost 5 years, She is an organized, confident, hard working and passionate teacher dedicated to creating a positive learning environment among scholars. She applies her expertise in tutoring young minds to discover passion in learning. She is also a life member of Indian Dietetic Association, Chennai Chapter, a registered Academic Counselor at Indira Gandhi National Open University and  conducts with her two years of experience in the field as Dietician and Patient Care Counselor.  She has organized multiple Community Nutrition Education and Awareness programs and directed her students to cater for the empowerment of the weak and vulnerable sections of society. She has also published and presented papers at several National and International journals and conferences. She is an approved staff member of the Institution and actively served as Member of Fine Arts Committee and Student Union Vice President and Fine Arts Convenor. She is presently pursuing her Ph.D at Pondicherry Central University and a minor research project on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. She has been invited as Resource Person to various Colleges and Organisations to deliver Invited talks on Women Health, 'Zero Hunger - Better Nutrition, Better Lives', Nutrition & Health, Low Cost Nutrition, Nutrition in HIV, Immunoboosters, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome etc. She has attended various National Conferences, Workshops and Faculty Development Programmes to enrich her knowledge and render better service to the student community.
