About Me

INFLUENCER, WRITER, AND BELIEVER – Sonakshi Swami A 23-year-old independent woman, writer since long and now has the plan and a dream to touch souls and change lives in the smallest way possible. I believe that if words are used wisely they have the power to wage wars and calm storms down. I am inspired and working towards creating a tiny ripple effect by exploring various fields of humanities and ways of expression and contributing to it through teaching a bunch of students that might want to seek something exceptional in life. In the world where every second is being tracked and all want to achieve something, it’s only words that keep us together and alive. Staying in an all-boys boarding environment for long changed my personality thoroughly and gradually. I strongly believe I can handle the responsibilities that come within a school. As it was in school that I first realized my unique gift for maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships with my teachers, peers, and juniors by resolving conflicts verbally. My rigorous participation in sports, adventure activities, and social service helped me receive the International Award for Young People (University of Cambridge) Silver and Bronze awards. I participated in the Founder’s Day theatrical productions, annual dramas, and street plays which is where I learned the intricacies of working in a team. My greatest achievement I believe has been my performance in the field of Pistol Shooting. I won medals in numerous state-level tournaments, north zone matches, interschool tournaments, qualified for pre-nationals, and later for nationals. As I reached senior classes I found my juniors relying on me for advice be it in the shooting range, in theatre, or in general because they could talk to me comfortably. Thus, I am confident that if given a chance, I can prove to be a leader in its true sense. A women's college was an inspiration too, which made me the ideal woman my family wanted me to be. To create is one thing, to manage the creation is another kind of art, hence a lot of responsibilities given to me have helped in learning the same. While studying Political Science for the past seven years, I have often heard people say how political science is merely a theoretical subject and easy to carry out practically, if and when required. Only after I topped the political science twelfth board exam, I joined college and realized how wrong most people are about political science. Opting for political science honours with public administration as a subsidiary was knowledgeable and also helpful to prepare for various entrances, which I later cleared for post-graduation. It was in college and hostel, soon after I was appointed as an officebearer, that I realized how taking care of a community wasn’t just about implementing political theories. It was a different ball game altogether. Ever since this realization, I have had a very strong conscious drive to let every human know the field of politics, for starters in a classroom. After doing academically good in college, my post-graduation has been quite a time too. Apart from the academic interest in my department where I studied under outstanding faculty from around the world, I gained interest in joining a university student organisation, where I actively participated in protests, campaigns, awareness plays, and also social service. I have come a long way where I think it is very important to try and stop people from generalizing the entire Indian Political system as corrupt and try to make them aware of its different aspects. Working with the school will allow me to generate productive and logical ways of doing things. Having studied computer science for more than five years, gave me exceptional digital skills too. Consequently, I could follow my interest in content writing, which I did online for various clients as a freelancer. Moreover, I believe I am the right candidate for this job as I am hardworking and can stay focused on a task for a long period.
