Susanta Ghosh, began his Kathak training at the very early age of 4 under the guidance of Smt. Sudipta Chakraborty Ji. There after he joined “Chhandam Nritya Bharati (Kolkata)” to the most dynamic and far-reaching Kathak maestro Pandit Chitresh Das Ji. Under the guidance of Branch Director Smt. Indrani Mallick Ji, there he has learnt the Traditional Kathak Nritya and 'Kathak Yoga'(innovation of Pandit Chitresh Das). Later he continued his talim under the able supervision of Guru Sri. Sandip Mallick Ji at NADAM.At the very same time he also pursued in-depth advanced training & knowledge by attending the regular workshops conducted by- Padma Bibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji, Padma Bhushan Smt. Kumudini Lakhia Ji, Guru Vidushi Saswati Sen Ji, Smt. Sreelekha Mukheerjee Ji, and many others.He has completed his Visharad from Pracheen kala kendra.He is a graded artist of Doordarshan Kendra, Kolkata. At Nrityanjali, students learn Lucknow Gharana (style) of Kathak Nritya, with the aesthetics of the art and the refined subtlety of rendering expression along with the deep understanding and versatility of laya (rhythm). Here students undergo the intricate training which is the perfect state where Mind, Body and Soul comes in an equally bream state, Kathak Yoga invented none other than Late Pandit Chitresh Das. At Nrityanjali students learn under the dynamic leadership and guidance of Susanta Ghosh. The young learners learn the minute perfections of the Complex Rhythmical compositions, Dazzling Footwork's and Kathak Yoga.
