Tamali Ray is the Founder and MD of Global Institute of Leadership Communication (GILC EdSkills Centre of Excellence LLP) where she has dedicated all her 14 years of professional experience as a subject matter expert to conceptualise, curate and create an industry-focused, learner-centric, and application-oriented course on leadership communication and personality development. Before starting with her new venture, GILC, she was associated with different management educational institutions which includes T.I.M.E. (Triumphant Institute of Management Education) and Study Break Academy. She has also been a Visiting Faculty Member and an Examiner in the University of Burdwan and Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) for a few years, before moving into various roles as Faculty of English Language, as well as Communication and Personality Development specialist – and has mentored thousands of students in their academic and career journey. Additionally, I have been occasionally teaching English Language and Literature at school level for students belonging to junior, middle and senior sections under CISCE and CBSE Board. While being associated with institutions like T.I.M.E. and other management educational institutions since 2017, she has witnessed how the learners and students suffer from lack of confidence because of their incapability of comprehending and expressing themselves in English. This made her realise the critical need of communicative English, communication skills and personality development (an all-encompassing personal growth) and thus decided to conceptualise these programs. She has completed her schooling from Patha Bhavana in Shantiniketan and is a post-graduate in English Literature & Language from the Department of English and Other Modern European Languages under Visva Bharati University. She has also completed her B.Ed. from Burdwan University. Her additional qualification in Japanese language truly marks out her adherence to the concept of ‘communion of the world with India’ or Visva Bharati, as Rabindranath Tagore saw it. Over the years, she has remained passionate about teaching and training of learners and students and wishes to continue her pursuit of the same on part-time basis.
