About Me

With over 7 years experience in professional teaching and freelancing in art in all levels starting from ages 6 to 60 I've become an expert in encouraging creativity while simultaneously teaching solid technical skills .Backed up by a visual art degree my interests are in design, art history ,conceptual art, acrylics art, and and making scrap into art .During my tenure as an Art Teacher, I have worked with a wide range of ages and come to realize that elementary is my favorite .It is there I found creativity at its peak as minds have not been influenced by outside sources, it is also at this age that one seem to sharpen their skills if given the right environment and tools to experiment with. I have engaged large groups up to 70-80 at a time maintaining discipline and order ,while still having a command over the room .I was able to create lesson plans on my own and adept to curriculum plans and integrated with other subjects to make it easier for the students to have a good and easy learning environment . My teaching style is firm yet playful. I have been given credit for being warm and supportive at the same time setting appropriate boundaries needed .I'm cheerful ,confident and creative and I think it's time for me to branch out and start something of my own expertise and for that I'm hoping your institution would help me in great deal .
