About Me

Hi, I am “Tufail Idris”, all time Mentor and Facilitator of learners. My brief journey of Academics, Teaching and Research are under mentioned. I am working as PGT-Biotechnology at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh). My earnings are Graduation degree in Botany and Chemistry, M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology and later on Teaching degree (B. Ed). (A) Mentor's Teaching Journey I have been teaching to students from my early student life. I have a long teaching experience of 21-years including 5-years of Research experience. My teaching specializations are Genetics, Cell-Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetic Engineering, Plant Biotechnology at Post Graduate College level while Biology, Biotechnology and Chemistry at secondary and higher secondary level (10+2) in CBSE School. Initially, worked as Lecturer (Biotechnology) in Biotech Department of Indian Institute of Engineering & Information Technology (IIEIT), Gorakhpur. There-after worked as a PGT- Biology at Kamala Rani Sanghi Public School (Affiliated to CBSE)[An Employee School of Sanghi Cement Industries Ltd.], Kutch-Bhuj, Gujarat. Aside of teaching Biology, I have also taught Chemistry at Intermediate level. (B) Mentor's Research Journey During my Research work, I worked as Project Assistant in Plant Cell and Molecular Biology Department at Indian Institute of Advanced Research (IIAR), Gandhinagar, Gujarat under the guidance of Dr. Rajani.S.Nadgauda on In-vitro micro-propagation of Bio-diesel plant (Jatropha curcas) and extraction and profiling of Jatropha oil from kernel of Jatropha seeds. (C) Mentor's Special Achievements Got an opportunity to meet and interact scientifically with well renowned Ex-President cum Scientist, Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (Missile Man of India). Worked with eminent Plant Tissue Culture Scientist, Dr. Rajani Nadgauda (Ex-Plant tissue Culture Scientist National Chemical Laboratory, Pune). Happened to meet and interact scientifically with Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, Father of Green Revolution in India. Worked with Dr. Manju Sharma, Ex-DBT Secretary and IIAR-President and grand-daughter of Madan Mohan Malaviya, the founder of Banaras Hindu University (BHU). (D) Mentor as Book-Writer I am authoring the academic book “Understanding Biology Series (UB-Series): A Topic-wise Biology Book” in the benefit of students of Biology and Medical Aspirants.
