About Me

I, Usha Nayak, am currently working as the Coordinator of CHILDLINE Project at BOSCO Bengaluru. The organisation offers service to the Young at Risk - children living on the streets, child labourers, abandoned/orphaned children, victims of drug abuse, victims of child abuse, begging children, rag pickers etc. I joined the organization in March 2016 as the Project Coordinator of Bridge Network and CRY Projects. In October 2017, I was appointed as the Coordinator of the CHILDLINE Project. CHILDLINE is a 24-hours toll-free national emergency and outreach service for children in need of care and protection. CHILDLINE aims to reach out to the most marginalized children and provides interventions of shelter, medical, repatriation, rescue, death related, sponsorships, emotional support and guidance. In my tenure at the organization I had ample opportunities to work directly with vulnerable children/children in difficult circumstances, in the areas of mental health, care and protection. As the Coordinator of CHILDLINE Collaborative Organization, in keeping with the mission of the Project- Catalyze, Collaborate, Connect and Communicate, I have experience in collaborating and networking with the various Government Departments and like-minded NGOs for the care and protection of vulnerable children.
