About Me
I am Venkata Tilak Uppalapati, basically an academician, researcher and consultant in Civil and Structural Engineering. I completed my Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University (Bapatla Engineering College) and M.S in Structural Engineering from The University of Sheffield, which is far better than IIT and IIsc Bangalore and ranked among top 80 universities of the world consistently. I am the only student from India, who got distinction from Civil and Structural engineering department of ‘The University of Sheffield’, England in 2007-2009 batch. I completed Pre-Ph.D and currently working on his research on improving ductility in Plain cement concrete. I have over 11 years of experience in research and teaching Civil and Structural Engineering subjects to both undergraduate and post-graduate students. Moreover, I have 6 years of experience in teaching GATE Structural Engineering Section Subjects on behalf of GATEFORUM to Civil Engineering Students. In addition, I have experience working as a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultant for over eight years and wide experience in various research areas of structural engineering, published nine international journals, attended one international conference and attended three workshops. Also I worked as a research Scientist cum Team Leader at “The University of south Carolina”, U.S.A. Moreover, ratified as Assistant professor by Acharya Nagarjuna University Expert selection committee in 2012. Coming to M.Tech projects I supervised 6 M.Tech Thesis and they got M.tech degree. On the other hand, 30+ Bachelors degree Civil Engineering projects I supervised. Last but not least, I have very good experience in online live (E-GATE) classes on behalf of GATEFORUM
